Global Commercial Brazing Sheet Manager | Alcoa
This position is responsible for managing the Sales and Marketing Functions of Alcoa’s Global Brazing Sheet business. The incumbent will have all commercial responsibilities including pricing and strategy for the three BU’s currently manufacturing this product (NARP, EMP and CRP) .The incumbent will work closely with the flat rolled products Management and the reporting relationship will be based on the location of the individual selected for the role, reporting either directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Industrial and Automotive Products or through the European Mill Products organization.
Successful candidate will have demonstrated success in technical sales, developing customer processes, and alum prod tech (e.g. stamping and forming); sales and marketing of alum prod for HVAC industry for international markets including forecasting costing, quoting, and tactical account management.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Development and deployment of a global customer and Market strategy for Brazing Sheet Sales in N. America, Europe and Asia
- Establish an excellent collaborative relationship with Alcoa Technical groups on R&D for brazing sheet.
- Recommend Product and Future Process Strategy for Brazing Sheet products
- Create and manage a BU Succession Process for Job Grades 16 and above
- Provide daily oversight of Sales Functions, quoting activities and customer issues impacting business.
- Interface with leadership from three different plants (Lancaster, Kofem and Kunshan) to ensure alignment in operational and strategic planning.
- Provide Marketing oversight to Marketing managers in Europe, N. America and Asia including quote coordinators and interfacing with inside sales leadership.
- Coordinate and leverage training for people in brazing sheet organization, development and talent management processes to ensure achievement of business strategies
- Overarching responsibility for forecasting and managing to the S&OP process including participation in demand planning, new trial management and planning activities in North America
Basic Qualifications
- Four-year college degree with 10 years experience directing commercial and technical strategy for a Fortune 100 manufacturer
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Materials Science, Metallurgy Engineering or Metal Physics or a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy Engineering or Metal Physics
- Sales and marketing of alum prod for HVAC industry for international markets including forecasting costing, quoting, and tactical account management
- Proven success in Technical sales, developing customer processes, and alum prod tech (e.g. stamping and forming)
